Language of the Body
Yoga for Your Recovery
We all hear the word "yoga" routinely. And often it is associated with fast, body movement and postures. Less around yoga sequence and, for sure, little to do with body appearance, I provide a slow pace for men and women who are seeking to manage their anxiety and depression. Equally so, I supply a safe space for those who have or are recovering from trauma to rewrite a kind language about their bodies.
More than Asana
Too many people have taken yoga to mean poses. Yet we know that ancient practices from various eastern lineages show that asanas or poses were only one small aspect of yoga.
I provide breathing techniques, mantra chanting, methods of contemplation, concentration, and meditation, all of which can introduce clarity, relaxation, and a sense of well-being.
